InstaFloor’s developing partnership with Polypipe Terrain is proving a success with developers and contractors

Paul, Managing Director of InstaFloor, talks you through the benefits of the strategic partnership with Polypipe Terrain’s underfloor heating.

InstaFloor’s comprehensive underfloor heating supply and installation package, in conjunction with Polypipe Terrain, integrates lightweight, high performance acoustic underlay with a quality underfloor heating system.

This partnership provides important competitive benefits:

  • It speeds up the installation process
  • It removes the problems of overlapping trade responsibilities
  • It often saves critical time in the overall construction process
  • It improves contract scheduling and reduces the number of sub-contractors

Underfloor heating proves increasingly attractive, saving space and giving a more responsive and controllable heat than screed based systems. Lightweight acoustic floors are also gaining appeal.

With the desire to remove wet trades from the building process, the combination of the InstaCradle C40 acoustic flooring and Polypipe Terrain’s heating systems is gaining increasing interest.

This winning combination is demonstrated at a major contract for Wates Living Space in Tower Hamlets, East London. The prestigious Ocean Estate project is one of the largest regeneration schemes in the UK, incorporating a £38 million refurbishment scheme and a £48 million new build programme. During a phased 12 month programme, 32,000m2 of the versatile InstaCradle C40 flooring system, together with 12,000m2 of PolyPipe Terrain underfloor heating in the floor void are all being installed by InstaFloor.

The adjustable floor, with its patented rubber crumb acoustic cradles, guaranteed for 60 years, is being finished with 18mm chipboard and 22mm Tarkett wood flooring, which is being secret nailed to the timber battens.
