InstaSport – high performance sports floors and leisure flooring

Sports flooring and sprung floors for dance, sports and leisure

InstaFloor has been producing high performance, multi-purpose sports floors, sprung flooring systems and sub-floors since 1995.

We work closely with major manufacturers of sheet and hardwood flooring to provide fully compliant sports and leisure floors, all backed by our comprehensive technical service.

Our sports and sprung floor systems are designed for all indoor sports, dance, and leisure applications.

When combined with proprietary wooden floors, sheet flooring or seamless polyurethane surfaces, the finished floor is fully compliant with EN 14904, the minimum standard for indoor multi-sports flooring in Europe.

Our InstaSport range features three systems for sports and sprung sub-floors:

Sports cradle and batten

Comprising special rubber crumb cradles, manufactured using recycled tyres, and timber battens. This system is particularly versatile. Height is adjustable on site, making it suitable for use on uneven floors.

Sports batten

Comprising a timber batten with a special profiled shock absorbing resilient layer manufactured using recycled rubber crumb. This system is for use on level floors where the tolerance is 3.0mm over a 3.0m measured distance.

Low profile sub-floor

Comprising a special profiled shock-absorbing rubber crumb layer bonded to 18mm plywood. The advantage of this sub-floor system is its 28mm height. It’s designed for installation on level floors where the tolerance is 3.0mm over a 2.0m measured distance.

These combined systems produce either a Combined-Elastic (Type C) or Area-Elastic (Type A) sports floor that meets the criteria of sports governing bodies such as Sports England. The systems are also designed to withstand the loadings from users and equipment as defined in BS 6399: Part 1.

Our sports and leisure flooring is specified for both new build and refurbishment projects. See our case studies for applications in sports halls and gymnasia, dance and exercise studios, multi-use games and play areas and school halls throughout Europe.

The InstaSport advantage

No structural sub-floor preparation is required for InstaSport systems, making installation quick, easy and free from mess and wet trades.

Our environmentally friendly rubber crumb cradles and base packers enable our systems to be easily laser levelled on-site to the required finished height.
